What I’ve done in the last two years

It’s been a while since I wrote anything. About two years ago, my previous employer sold his company and I had to find a new job for the first time in 10 years. It was not a fun time and it ended up being a long process. I am now 11 months into my new job and have mostly settled in.

On the technology side, I’ve studied many new things, and a few will be sticking with me for a long time. I’ve started using git and gulp. I’ve only touched on webpack, but will need to dig into that a bit. I am loving Laravel. Python is an awesome new tool in my toolkit. I’ve played with Angular (2+) and am working a bit with Vue. React is on my list of things to dig into. Bootstrap is useful, though a bit heavyweight for some projects.

I have barely touched WordPress. I have started to learn Salesforce and APEX coding. Not what I’d call fun, but Lightning components are pretty neat.

I now have some experience with the Percussion CMS, and to me it is a tool that doesn’t make sense. I do not understand why someone would choose to use this tool.
